Week 9 Weigh in!

Hey everyone,

I hope you all did well this week.  When you comment tell us what new fruits and vegetables you tried this week.  Its our last week, so push really hard this week and make it count!  Good luck!

  1. I lost 4 pounds this week. 2 were the ones i gained last week. So I got 25 points for that.

    so 206+25= 231

    I had 4 fruits and veggies that I never tried:
    1. a real coconut. It tasted terrible but I am pretty sure it was rotton. Hopefully I will be able to try a real nice fresh one someday.

    2. Papaya: It wasn't terrible at first but the after taste made me gag and it tasted like medicine. haha

    3. Florida Avacado: These are the large green ones. I bought it on Monday but by Saturday it still wasn't ripe. I cut it open and tasted it anyway and about threw up. haha (I didn't have great luck this week.)

    4. Jicama: This is a mexican potato. I was by far the best of my choices. It was still a little strange tasting but not too bad.

    Hopefully you guys had better luck then i did.

  2. Well, I was at girls camp all week so I didn't keep track of what I ate, but I did only eat stuff on my diet. I maintained my weight!! I am so glad I did not gain!
    My points are only 150 plus 5 for maintaining- so that is 155 total.
    I did happen to eat 5 new things Sat and Sun. I had one of those long english cucumbers - tasted like any other cucumber. I had a casaba melon, bok choy (did not realize it was in asian foods and I really have had it, but we ate it like cooked by itself), red pear(tastes like all pears) and a chayote squash that really was good tasting!

  3. I worked out more and ate better this week and still gained 3 lbs. I really do not understand my body. my points were 190. Rob gained 1 lb. and got a total of 164 points.
    we tried a chayote squash, a pantine, and a coconut that was rotten as well Meg. we tried the part that looked okay, but I about threw up.

  4. My worst week yet. I gained a pound. Probably due to the fact that my tendonitis flared up in my leg and was very painful most of the week. I also had three days with parties and I could not resist the sweets. As for the new fruits or vegies: I have tasted most all of them at one point or another in my life and I could not find anything new in the stores I frequent that was new to me, other than I did try a plantain last Monday. Not as good as bananas - best if cooked. My points were only 164 for the week. I will try MUCH harder for this last week.

  5. I forgot again to post last night! I have been trying to get Ben ready for scout camp and I am on my way to Zion's right now to drop him off...so I don't have my papers with me and I don't remember my totals but I will post them when I get home this evening!!!

  7. ok sorry didnt post last night I was at the Hospital seeing my new nephew in the NICU. But on top of that my points are 172 and stayed the same weight so add 5 thats 177. See you tomorrow Megan hope flying and traveling will not kill my weight for the last week.
